Sorrowful Slice, Lujairus is a rare card from Demonic Advent. He is an option for players on a budget. Most rare cards do not sell more than one or two dollars on the open market. Lately Bushiroad has been developing better rare G-Units than they have in past sets. His art is really cool. He looks like a young boss of demons from Dark Irregulars.
His skill supports the Darkness ability. He soul charges three cards and gives 5,000 power for each sent to the soul to a rear-guard. You may draw a grade three card from the soul if you soul charged a card with Darkness. The grade three card from the soul is very useful. You may save it to use to pay for your next stride. You are gaining resources instead of losing key cards in the soul.
Furthermore, your rear-guard can gain a large amount of power if you soul charge three cards with different grades. Triggers can further the unit’s power and range of damage. Doreen the Thruster perfectly fits the role to receive this power. She gains 3,000 power when a card is placed in the soul during the Main Phase. She gains 9,000 power after Lujairus sends three cards to the soul. She will gain at least an additional 5,000 power from Lujairus’s skill.
Finally, you may use the soul as a second hand. Lujairus may put important cards into your soul. I would abuse cards with abilities in the soul. Succubus of Avarice is the clan’s best sentinel. Her skill is active when Darkness is archived, and the ability activates from the soul. She retires one of your rear-guards and you may draw her from the soul. Her ability is an even exchange of resources. She fixes Dark Irregular’s problem of losing key cards in the soul.
Overall, Sorrowful Slice, Lujairus is a fantastic G-Unit for Dark Irregulars. He is a great first stride. He quickly generates your resources and sets up new plays. . His single skill does a lot of good benefits for your deck. First, you quickly build your soul. Second, a rear-guard can gain a large amount of power. Third, you can return a grade 3 card from your soul to your hand, and use it to pay for stride on your next turn.
