[Warrior/Effect]
ATK/1,800 DEF/1,200
Once per turn: You can banish 1 “Lightsworn” monster from your hand or GY, then target 1 face-up monster on the field; it loses ATK and DEF equal to the banished monster’s Level x 300, until the end of this turn. Once per turn, if your other “Lightsworn” monster’s effect is activated: Send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the GY.
Jain, Twilightsworn General is the dark counterpart of Jain, Lightsworn Paladin. They share the same stats and level. Jain, Twilightsworn General has two strong effects to support Lightsworn. This card sets up powerful plays for Judgment Dragon and Punishment Dragon.
First Effect:
Jain, Twilightsworn General banishes a Lightsworn from the graveyard to weaken any monster on the field. The effect lowers the monster’s ATK equal to the banished monster’s level times 300. Jain, Twilightsworn General may greatly reduce the ATK of an opponent’s monster.
For instance, you banish Wulf, Lightsworn Beast, a level four monster. The opponent’s Blue-Eyes White Dragon loses 1,200 ATK, and the dragon’s new ATK is 1,800. You are a great position to destroy it in battle with a powerful monster such as Michael, the Arch-Lightsworn.
Furthermore, this effect is strong support for Punishment Dragon. Punishment Dragon special summons himself when you have four banished Lightsworn monsters with different names. Jain, Twilightsworn General consistently banishes your monsters. The effect basically sets up Punishment Dragon for him to unleash dominance on the field.
Second Effect:
Jain, Twilightsworn General brings valuable consistency to the table with her second effect. Jain, Twilightsworn General mills the top two of your deck once per turn when a Lightsworn monster activates its effect. You are consistently milling cards. This puts you in position to special summon Judgment Dragon.
Furthermore, Jain, Twilightsworn General may consistently activate this effect after you activate another Lightsworn’s effect. This effect always ensures an opportunity to mile Lightsworns from the deck. It sets up your best plays with Lightsworn for Judgment Dragon.
Material:
You may use Jain, Twilightsworn General as material for your monsters from the extra deck. This card is a great fit for rank four XYZ monsters. You may also use her for Link Summons.
For instance, you may XYZ Summon Minerva, the Exalted Lightsworn with Ehren, Lightsworn Monk and Jain, Twilightsworn General as XYZ material. Both monsters are level four and meet the requirements for the XYZ Summon. You may also use any other level four monster as material.
