If this card is sent from the Deck to the GY: You can target 1 “Lightsworn” monster in your GY, except “Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend”; Special Summon it. You can only use each effect of “Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend” once per turn.

Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend is an effect monster and tuner. This effect monster provides support for Lightsworn. This card has two effects. Both of its effects have synergy with cards in Lightsworn.

First Effect:

Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend may special summon itself from the hand when you place a card with Lightsworn in its name from the hand on top of the deck. Then, you send the top two cards of the deck to the graveyard. This effect is a good ability for the special summon of this effect monster. You gain a monster and set up potential combos. 

Furthermore, the first effect of Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend has synergy with cards in the archetype. It sets up Judgment Dragon when you send the top two cards of the deck to the graveyard. Some Lightsworn monsters may special summon themselves when they are sent from the deck to the graveyard.  

For instance, Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend may place Wulf, Lightsworn Beast from the hand to the top of the deck. Then, Wulf, Lightsworn Beast special summons himself after you send it from the deck to the graveyard when you send the top two cards of the deck to the graveyard. You have two monsters on the field. You may use them as materials for a special summon from the extra deck.

Second Effect:

Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend may special summon a monster with Lightsworn in its name when this card is sent from the deck to the graveyard. You gain a free monster from the graveyard. The archetype often sends cards from the deck at the end of the turn. It is a great effect for gaining a free card.

Furthermore, you may consistently activate the second effect of Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend. Many cards in the archetype send cards from the deck to the graveyard. For example, Charge of the Light Brigade and Lightsworn Dragonling send cards from the deck to the graveyard.

Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend has stellar synergy with Lightsworn Dragonling. You can gain key resources from this combination of effect monsters. Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend may special summon Lightsworn Dragonling from the graveyard. Then, Lightsworn Dragonling may send Wulf, Lightsworn Beast from the deck to the graveyard, and Wulf, Lightsworn Beast may special summon itself. You gain two effect monsters with this strategy.

Material:

Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend is a tuner monster for synchro summons. This monster is level four. It has a good level with the proper pair of materials. Lightsworn has synchro monsters for this tuner.

For instance, you may use Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend and Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner as materials for the synchro summon of Michael, the Arch-Lightsworn. These effect monsters have a total level of seven. They meet the conditions for the synchro summon of Michael, the Arch-Lightsworn. You have one of the best cards for the archetype on the field.

In addition, Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend  is a level four monster. This fiend is a great card for material of a rank four XYZ monster. You can consistently set up this summon with this card’s first effect.

For instance, you may use Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend  and Wulf, Lightsworn Beast as material for the XYZ summon of Minerva, the Exalted Lightsworn. Both of these effect monsters may special summon themselves to the field. Then, you have a powerful XYZ monster on the field after the XYZ summon.

Cards can add Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend to your hand. Charge of the Light Brigade may add this effect monster from the deck to the hand. March of the Dark Brigade may add this card from the graveyard to the hand. These cards provide consistent access to this effect monster.

You can set up special summons of multiple monsters. This effect monster is material for synchro summons. Therefore, I recommend playing three copies of Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend in your deck.
