Toon Cyber Dragon is an adorable version of the fierce Cyber Dragon. It has a cartoonish style with wide eyes and a goofy expression. The card is one of the few Toon monsters that do not require Toon World to play. Toon Cyber Dragon benefits from Toon World on the field. In addition, Toon Cyber Dragon is also a member of the Cyber Dragons.
Special Appearance
Toon Cyber Dragon made an appearance at North American WCQ 2015 in the special duel, Pegasus vs. Marik. Maxamillion Pegasus loves cartoons and expresses his joy in his deck. He plays Toon Cyber Dragon during his duel against Marik.
First Effect: Special Summon
Toon Cyber Dragon special summons itself from your hand if you do not control any monsters. This effect is a great ability at the beginning of the game. You immediately have a strong monster on the field. Toon Cyber Dragon can easily destroy many monsters in battle.
However, Toon Cyber Dragon is unable to attack on the turn when it was summoned. You are unable to use its second effect to deal direct damage. All Toon monsters in the archetype have this weakness.
Second Effect: Direct Attack!
Toon Cyber Dragon can attack your opponent directly if he or she does not control a Toon Monster. This effect deals major damage to your opponent. Toon Cyber Dragon has 2,100 ATK and drains over one-fourth of a player’s life points.
Toon Cyber Dragon is one of the most efficient Toon monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh! This effect is a better version than the effect on many Toon monsters. Most Toon monsters require the player to pay 500 Life Points to declare a direct attack. You do not pay a cost for this effect.
However, you are unable to use this effect in the unlikely scenario of your opponent controlling a Toon monster. You must play normally, and may need to adjust your strategy. Toon Cyber Dragon would lose its advantage in a duel against the same deck.
