You can send 1 Level 5 or higher Normal Monster from your hand or Deck to the GY; Special Summon this card from your hand, then increase its Level by 1. Red-Eyes has consistently received support from Konami for many years. The archetype has large library of support. One of these cards is Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon! This effect monster adds consistency to the archetype. It has decent value with the ability to special summon itself and add Red-Eyes Fusion to your hand.
First Effect:
Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon special summons himself from the hand when you send a normal level five or higher dragon from the hand or deck to the graveyard. This effect monster also gains a level. Then, it becomes a level seven monster.
Furthermore, effect monsters with ability to special summon themselves have good value. Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon becomes a useful monster the field for offense. You may also use this card as material for a Fusion Summon, Link Summon, or XYZ Summon. Red-Eyes Fusion is one of the best cards in the game. It provides one of the best methods for a fusion summon. You can use materials from the deck. Due to instant access to this card from Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon, you can fusion summon a powerful card such as Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon.
Fusion Material & XYZ Material:
Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon is a good card for fusion material and XYZ material. His name of his Red-Eyes fits the requirement for many fusion monsters. You can also increase this effect monster’s level by one with his first effect and he can meet the requirements for a XYZ Summon.
For example, Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon can become a level seven monster and can be material for the XYZ summon of Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon. Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon requires two level seven monsters. You only need an additional monster.
