This blade will always pierce from your blind spot.
[AUTO](VC/RC):When placed, COST [Counter Blast (1) & Soul Blast (1)], and put a card from your drop zone on (RC) as a locked card. (Locked cards cannot do anything. They are unlocked and turned face up as [Stand] at the end of their owner’s turn.)
[CONT](RC):During the battle it attacked, your opponent cannot normal call cards other than grade 0.
The majority of booster sets from trading card games have filler like anime has filler episodes. Whitemarder, Jact is a filler from V Booster Set 08: Silverdust Blaze. This grade three unit is a card for casual decks. He has mediocre abilities for his clan. You will never see this card in any champion’s competitive deck for Link Joker.

First Ability:
Whitemarder, Jact places a unit from the drop zone on the field and locks it. This grade three unit sets up your plays with Messiah and cards in its archetype. It ensures consistency for the deck. The deck wants to lock its units.
Furthermore, Whitemarder, Jact sets up the second ability of Alter Ego Messiah (V Series). Alter Ego Messiah (V Series) will unlock this new card when this vanguard attacks the opponent. You will have instant access to your new card from the drop zone.
Second Ability:
Whitemarder, Jact restricts the opponent’s defense. The opponent cannot normal call units except grade zero units from the hand when Whitemarder, Jact attacks an opposing unit. This ability may potentially add pressure to the opponent in battle.
Furthermore, this restriction gives an advantage to Whitemarder, Jact in certain situations. The opponent may not have a grade zero in his or her hand. Therefore, the opponent will not be able to block this unit in battle.
However, this ability has a weakness. An opponent can call triggers to the guardian zone for defense. These cards are grade zero units. They have the largest shields in the game.
Therefore, this ability will not hinder the opponent for most of the game. The opponent is likely to have a critical trigger in his or her hand. They should be able to block Whitemarder, Jact in battle.
Support:
Whitemarder, Jact sets up the strategy for Messiah and the support for the archetype. This unit requires Messiah and other cards for this strategy. This unit also requires other units with abilities to activate effects when you unlock them. You must have multiple cards for a successful combo.
For instance, Whitemarder, Jact may lock Bending Solid-hit, Vanmaanen. Then, Alter Ego Messiah (V Series) unlocks Bending Solid-hit, Vanmaanen, and you will be able to draw a card with the ability of Bending Solid-hit, Vanmaanen.
However, a competitive deck of Messiah in the v-premium format does not have any space for Whitemarder, Jact. The deck’s full potential needs both copies of Messiah for your grade three units. Many grade two units such as Lady Battler of the Black Dwarf (V Series) and Lady Battler of the Gravity Well (V Series) provide better support than Whitemarder, Jact.
Play these cards with Whitemarder, Jact in the V-Premium Format!
- Alter Ego Messiah (V Series)
- Bending Solid-hit, Vanmaanen
- Harmonics Messiah (V Series)
Premium Format:
Whitemarder, Jact is support for Messiah in the premium format. He is an option for players with a deck on a budget. This unit provides the Imaginary Gift: Force when you ride him. His ability has synergy with units from Link Joker.
Furthermore, Link Joker has many generic G-Units. Some of them fit in the strategy for Whitemarder, Jact. These are the best G-Units for this grade three unit. Many of them unlock your units or locks the opponent’s rear-guards.
For instance, Nebula Dragon, Cosmic Dawn Dragon is a stellar G-Unit with as the heart. This G-Unit locks the opponent’s rear-guards. Whitemarder, Jact sets up Nebula Dragon, Cosmic Dawn Dragon’s ability!
However, a competitive deck for Messiah in the premium format has the same issue as the deck in the v-premium format. This deck does not have room for Whitemarder, Jact. The archetype has much better support than this card. The best strategy is playing two of the versions of Messiah as the grade three units in the deck.
Play these cards with Whitemarder, Jact in the Premium Format!
- Alter Ego Messiah (V Series)
- Nebula Dragon, Cosmic Dawn Dragon
- Zeroth Dragon of Destroy Star, Stark
Card Rating:
Overall, Whitemarder, Jact is a mediocre card for Link Joker. He is support for Messiah. However, a competitive deck does not have any space for this unit. The deck has a better strategy with two versions of Messiah than a deck with Whitemarder, Jact and one version of Messiah. Therefore, I only recommend playing Whitemarder, Jact in a very casual deck.
