A Prowling Dragon waits silently, for the right time to rise to the heavens.
[CONT](VC): Restraint (This unit cannot attack.)
[AUTO](VC):When this unit is attacked, if there are no boosting units, this unit gets [Power]+5000 until end of that battle.
[AUTO]:When another «Kagero» rides this unit, choose one of your vanguards, and that unit get [Power]+5000/[Critical]+1 until end of turn.
A powerful dragon lurks among our vanguards! He is none other than Prowling Dragon, Striken! He wields power of the Kagero clan! Prowling Dragon, Striken can be seen as a break ride prototype because his second skill is given to the unit who rides above him.
Prowling Dragon, Striken is unable to attack as the vanguard. Thus, the player will minus one because he or she will not get the extra card from the drive trigger check. However, Prowling Dragon, Striken puts major mid-game pressure on opponents. His skill makes up for his inability to attack as a vanguard. The unit who rides above Striken will get 5,000 power and one critical damage.
In addition, Prowling Dragon Striken, is a good defensive unit as the vanguard. If his attacker is not boosted then he gains 5,000 power. This means that an opponent must call units to boost attacks or be unable to give damage that turn.
Furthermore, Prowling Dragon, Striken is a vanilla 10k rear guard unit. That isn’t too bad. He can attack with high numbers when boosted by 7k and 8k boosters.
In Conclusion, Prowling Dragon, Striken is an interesting unit. He can work wonders in a Kagero deck. His skills can be used offensively and defensively. His skills will give a grade 3 additional power and damage. He gains power when attacked by non-boosted attackers!
Card Rating: 3 out of 5
Despite the strong dislike Demonic Dragon Berserker, Yasha gets, I like him with Striken a bit. It's not great, but that -1, early TD and early Critical do make a difference.
