If you walk the path of royalty, the locus will guide those of the next generation.
[ACT](VC):Legion20000 “Liberator of Royalty, Phallon” (If your opponent’s vanguard is grade 3 or greater, this unit may return four cards from your drop zone into your deck once, search your deck for the specified card, and Legion)
[ACT](VC):[Counter Blast (2)-card with “Liberator” in its card name] If this unit is Legion, and the number of other vanguards or rear-guards you have is four or more, this unit gets [Power]+5000/[Critical]+1 until end of turn.
[AUTO](VC):When this unit attacks a vanguard, if you have another unit in your middle column, this unit gets [Power]+3000 until end of that battle.
Locus Liberator, Asclepius is a skilled veteran from the United Sanctuary. A past injury has slightly limited his abilities so he was reassigned to the second army. Asclepius is a member of the Liberators in the Gold Paladin clan. He is one of the newest paladins to gain the power of Legion. Asclepius is Liberator of Royalty, Phallon’s teacher, and Phallon is Asclepius’s Legion Mate.
Asclepius’s Legion skill costs two counterblasts and gives him 5,000 power and an additional critical when you have four or more rear-guards. This skill is a clone of Forthright Seeker, Egbert’s skill except it does not require Liberator rear-guards, but the skill does require Liberators for your counterblast. The skill is very useful when your opponent is low on cards and do not have a perfect guard to negate the attack. You can force your opponent to guard with a lot of cards. You can either use his skill for pressure in the early game or wait in the late game after you have played your G-units.
However, perfect guards shut this skill down. Skills that only give power and an additional critical do not have much success. The skill only gives your vanguard power and no other advantages are gained from the skill. You will one or two shots to hit your opponent’s vanguard with this skill. This skill relies perfect timing in a match as you do not want to waste two counterblasts.
Furthermore, Asclepius relies on his support cast in to be an effective vanguard. His skill alone will not win many games. Liberator of the Flute, Escrad is a good unit to play alongside Asclepius because Escrad can superior call a Gold Paladin to join your formation. Play four copies of Holy Knight Guardian for your perfect guards. Her ability to counter charge gives you more opportunities to use Asclepius’s Legion skill.
Overall, Locus Liberator, Asclepius is a mediocre vanguard on his own, and a decent vanguard with the proper support. You need to supply Asclepius with a lot of good support to make him a functional vanguard. His skill needs to be perfectly timed in order to be successful. Use your G-units in the first combats and use Asclepius’s skill to win the game. Locus Liberator, Asclepius can lead you to victory with the best supporting troops.
