Holy Dragon, Defendhold Dragon is a G-Guardian from Divine Dragon Apocrypha. Its rarity is a single rare. Holy Dragon, Defendhold Dragon is a one of a kind card. It is a perfect guard in the body of a G-Guardian. The card is designed for Brave. Do not play this card in any Royal Paladin deck.
Holy Dragon, Defendhold Dragon’s skill can be used when Brave is active. His skill negates an opponent’s vanguard attack at your vanguard with Brave. The skill is basically the same as a perfect guard. A Heal Trigger in your hand is your ticket to the perfect defense. You can have eight perfect guards between your deck and G Zone. This card and a Sentinel shut down the powerful play from Zeroth Dragon of Death Garden, Zoa. Defendhold Dragon negates Zoa’s attack and your perfect guard negates the overpowered rear-guard’s attack.

Furthermore, Holy Dragon, Defendhold Dragon is able to bypass skills with restrictions from Dragstrider Luard, Transcendence Divine Dragon Nouvelle Vague L’Express, and Blue Storm Supreme Dragon Glory Maelstrom. Those cards are known for restricting opponents from playing grade 1 cards in the guardian circle. Defendhold Dragon is a grade 4 card. It does not fall under the same rules and type as a Sentinel. Defendhold Dragon will negate the attacks from those cards.
However, Defendhold Dragon is not the perfect defense against all attacks. His ability can only be used to stop an opponent’s vanguard. Rear-guards are unaffected by this ability. You may still play Defendhold Dragon to block attacks, but the attacks from rear-guards are not automatically negated. Defendhold Dragon’s shield’s value is 15,000, and you may need to use more cards if you need a very large shield.
Overall, Holy Dragon, Defendhold Dragon . Holy Dragon Defendhold Dragon is my favorite G-Guardian for Brave! I basically have eight perfect guards in my deck. My four Sentinels can be used to block attacks from either rear-guards or vanguard, and Holy Dragon, Defendhold Dragon can be used to stop attacks from my opponent’s vanguard. I have a variety of options for every situation. My perfect guards can block supercharged rear-guards with effects from critical triggers. Holy Dragon, Defendhold Dragon will block attacks from almost unstoppable vanguards.
