First Effect:
Time Thief Winder special summons itself to the field if you detach one material from a Xyz Monster. You must have a Xyz Monster with material on the field for this effect. The requirements are easy to fulfill, and you can consistently activate his effect.
Furthermore, Time Thief Winder has synergy with Time Thief Adjuster. You may special summon Time Thief Adjuster when you special summon a Time Thief such as Time Thief Winder. Their effects fit in the archetype’s theme of spamming the field.
Second Effect:
Time Thief Winder continues to build momentum with his second effect. After you normal or special summon Time Thief Winder, you may add a “Time Thief” card from your deck to your hand. You gain a free card without a cost for the second effect. Time Thief has many monsters and spells to add to your hand.
For example, you may add Time Thief Startup to your hand with Time Thief Winder’s second effect. This spell is a strong card. Time Thief Startup special summons a Time Thief from your hand. You may continue to spam the field.
