I purchased a few booster packs at my locals, and pulled a copy of Silver Thorn Marionette, Lillian. It was a pleasant surprise because I do not own many Pale Moon cards. Silver Thorn Marionette, Lillian is one of the best remakes for the standard format. Her original version does not have any abilities. However, the new and improved Silver Thorn Marionette, Lillian has two powerful skills to enhance your deck!
First Ability
Silver Thorn Marionette, Lillian makes Silver Thorns a very consistent archetype. Her first ability searches and sends on Silver Thorn unit from your deck to the soul. This ability is much needed by Pale Moon. The clan’s biggest flaw is sending units from your field or hand to the soul. Silver Thorn Marionette, Lillian resolves this weakness by sending a card from your deck to the soul. You maintain the cards in your hand and units on the field.
Furthermore, Silver Thorn Marionette, Lillian’s first ability sets up her second skills. She needs Silver Thorns in the soul to use her second ability. In addition to her second skill, other units also benefit from this skill. Many Silver Thorns synergy with this ability such as Silver Thorn Dragon Tamer, Luquier (V Series). You want to play her often in games to build the soul.
Play these cards with Silver Thorn Marionette, Lillian in the standard format!
- Silver Thorn Assistant, Irina
- Silver Thorn Beast Tamer, Doriane
- Silver Thorn Dragon Tamer, Luquier (V Series)
Second Ability
Silver Thorn Marionette, Lillian gains 10,000 power if you soul has four or more different cards with Silver Thorn in their names. She is the perfect beater for the deck. She swings a powerful attack with 19,000 power before a boost. Providing that, you can easily fulfill her ability’s requirements. Her first ability helps set up the power bonus!
Furthermore, Silver Thorn Marionette, Lillian becomes a powerful beater on an Accel circle! Her second ability with an Accel Circle raises her power to 29,000! She packs a powerful punch at the opposition! Her power surpasses the first stage of defense. Your opponent must guard with two cards to block the attack.
Premium Format
Finally, Silver Thorn Marionette, Lillian elevates the Silver Thorns in the premium format. The archetype was very bad for many years, but now it finally has good cards. The new version replaces the boring and vanilla version. She gives consistency and a strong offense to the deck. You should play four copies of her in a premium deck.
Card Rating
Overall, Silver Thorn Marionette, Lillian is one of the best cards in Silver Thorns. I recommend playing a full set in your deck. She complements Silver Thorn Dragon Tamer, Luquier (V Series), and enables the deck’s strategy of using the soul as a resource. Her abilities make the deck very consistent. She provides a powerful offense on an Accel circle.
