Bushiroad has designed a second version of Embodiment of Armor, Bahr for the D-Standard Format. This version of Embodiment of Armor, Bahr has the Kai Icon. It supports units with the Kai Icon from Kagero. This grade one unit stands itself after battle and enables an ability to add a grade one unit from the deck to the hand.

D-Standard Format:
Embodiment of Armor, Bahr is a card for the main deck and ride deck. This unit has abilities that function while it is used as both a vanguard and a rear-guard. It serves as the grade one unit in the ride deck for the theme of Kai Icon from Kagero in the D-Standard Format.
First Ability:
Embodiment of Armor, Bahr superior calls Lizard Soldier, Conroe (D Series) from the soul and gives it an ability. Lizard Soldier, Conroe (D Series) gains the ability to add a grade one unit with the Kai Icon from the deck to the hand and the cost is retiring Lizard Soldier, Conroe (D Series). This ability adds consistency to the deck. It provides access to a key card for your strategy.
Furthermore, you may activate this new ability for Lizard Soldier, Conroe (D Series) during this same turn. You may add a useful grade one unit for your particular matchup. Kagero has a variety of grade one units with the Kai Icon.
Wyvern Guard, Barri (D Series) is one of the best options to add to your hand. Wyvern Guard, Barri (D Series) is sentinel and blocks any attack from an opponent’s unit. It is a useful card when an opponent’s unit has a large amount of power in battle or the opponent’s vanguard attacks you with the pressure of drive checks. You want Wyvern Guard, Barri (D Series) to block a vanguard to avoid losing to multiple critical triggers increasing damage.
Dragon Monk, Gojo (Fighter Icon) is also a useful option for this ability. Dragon Monk, Gojo (Fighter Icon) superior calls himself from the drop zone when you discard him during the ride phase. You may add this grade one unit to the hand with this ability. Then, you may discard him to ride a grade two unit from the ride deck, and superior call Dragon Monk, Gojo (Fighter Icon) with his ability.
Add these grade one units from the deck to your hand!
- Dragon Monk, Gojo (Fighter Icon)
- Wyvern Guard, Barri (D Series)
Second Ability:
Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon) stands when your vanguard with a Kai Icon stands after battle. This ability enables this grade one to boost a vanguard with the Kai Icon for multiple battles. It is not limited to once per turn. The vanguard consistently gets a boost from this rear-guard in the back row.
Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon) is an effective booster in the same column with a vanguard with the Kai Icon. It can boost a vanguard such as Dragonic Overlord (Fighter Icon) in multiple battles. Your vanguard can swing strong attacks and consistently pressure the opponent in two or more battles.
Therefore, this ability of Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon) complements Dragonic Overlord (Fighter Icon). Dragonic Overlord (Fighter Icon) stands itself and gains 5,000 power after its first battle of the turn. A boost from Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon) in its second battle increases the total power of Dragonic Overlord (Fighter Icon) to 26,000, and this vanguard has a total of 36,000 power when you have activated persona ride.
Vortex Dragon (D Series) enables multiple battles with Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon). Vortex Dragon (D Series) may stand Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon) and another rear-guard in the same column. This grade one may boost the other rear-guard in the same column for a second battle. Multiple battles can overwhelm the opponent and drain their hand of important resources.

Matchups: Weaknesses
A few cards can counter Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon). It is vulnerable against control decks. Decks with units to retire or imprison will target this unit when it is a rear-guard because it stands itself with its second ability. Some defensive triggers strengthen the player’s defense when opposing units stand for multiple battles.
Aurora Battle Princess can imprison Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon). Players with Aurora Battle Princess will imprison this unit to stop the opponent from continuing to use it as a booster during their turn. This strategy removes the opponent’s access to this card. Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon) is imprisoned, and the opponent must pay a cost to regain access to this grade one unit.
Each nation has heal triggers with the ability to increase their shields when an opponent’s unit attacks two or more times per turn. These triggers counter the offensive combination of Dragonic Overlord (Fighter Icon) and Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon). These heal triggers such as Incorruptible Holy Light, Eufha and Invigorate Sage gain 15,000 shield during the second battle.
Premium format:
Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon) was designed for the D-Standard Format. It is not a good fit in the Premium Format. This card’s abilities require a grade three unit with the Kai Icon. Its first effect does not work in the premium format because the ride deck is absent from this format. The second ability only works with a grade three unit with the Kai Icon such as Dragonic Overlord (Fighter Icon). G-Units are the best options for the vanguard from the mid-game to the late game.
Kagero has a better version of Embodiment of Armor, Bahr for the premium format. Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (V Series) can retire an opponent’s rear-guard and it has a stronger shield of 10,000. Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (V) is a better option than Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon) in the premium format.
Furthermore, players may play Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon) in a premium deck. It will not be an effective card. It will be in a casual deck if a player wants to play it in this format. You may play this card alongside generic G-Units and cards with the Kai Icon. This card provides 8,000 power and a 5,000 shield in the premium format. It can be a booster for the units in the front row.
For instance, Divine Dragon Knight, Barakat enhances the offensive power of Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon). Divine Dragon Knight, Barakat adds 10,000 power to all of your rear-guards. Therefore, Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon) has 18,000 power with this G-Unit increasing its power, and it can boost any unit in the front row.
Play these cards with Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon) in the premium format.

Card Rating:
Overall, Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon) is an effective card as a vanguard in the early game and a useful rear-guard in the late game for the D-Standard Format. This grade one unit adds consistency to the deck. It provides access to one of your grade one units on your first turn of a game. It can boost your vanguard with a Kai Icon in multiple battles. Therefore, I recommend playing Embodiment of Armor, Bahr (Fighter Icon) in your deck with the Kai Icon.
