Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner discards one card from your hand and you may special summon one level four or lower monster with Lightsworn in its name from your graveyard. This is a great effect when you need an additional monster on the field. You regain a key card. Then, you may follow up with special summons with these cards as materials.
Furthermore, many monsters with Lightsworn in their names have synergy with Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner. Many monsters in the archetype have effects when you summon them on the field. You can gain additional resources and advantages with powerful combos.
For instance, Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner may special summon Lightsworn Dragonling from the graveyard. This combination of cards generates an advantage. Then, Lightsworn Dragonling may send Felis, Lightsworn Archer from the deck to the graveyard. Felis, Lightsworn Archer may special summon itself from the graveyard with her effect. Therefore, you have three monsters on the field.

Overall, Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner is a good effect monster for Lightsworn. She adds consistency to the deck. Her first effect special summons a monster with Lightsworn in its name, and this effect sets up special summons for synchro monsters and XYZ monsters. Her second ability sets up the conditions for Judgment Dragon. Therefore, I recommend playing three copies of Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner in your deck.
