The premium format has many powerful critical triggers. One of the best critical triggers in Cardfight!! Vanguard is Black Spark, Munkar. This angel is a member of Angel Feathers. She provides support for units with Gavrail in their names. 

Sets:

First Ability:

Black Spark, Munkar goes to the soul and she adds 5,000 power to a vanguard with Gavrail in its name when Gavrail attacks an opponent. The effect also allows you to draw a card. This ability increased the power of the vanguard. The vanguard can force pressure on the opponent in battle.

Furthermore, Black Spark, Munkar helps the powerful G-Units from Angel Feather. This critical trigger’s ability enhances the power of the G-Units to high numbers in addition to the abilities of each G-Unit. The right combination of units can overwhelm an opponent due to Angel Feather’s abilities to increase power with effects and damages checks during the player’s turn.

For instance, Holy Seraph, Zafkiel greatly benefits from the first ability of Black Spark, Munkar. This G-Unit increases the power of the units in the front row and her number of drive checks. The 5,000 power from this critical trigger’s first effect can potentially make it if very difficult for an opponent to block this G-Unit’s attack without a sentinel.

Second Ability:

Black Spark, Munkar embodies the effect of a draw trigger in a critical trigger. Black Spark, Munkar allows you to draw a card when you reveal this critical trigger during a damage check. This unit provides power and a resource. Your vanguard gains 10,000 power from this card and you draw additional card for a resource.

In addition, Black Spark, Munkar may activate her ability during both players’ turns. Angel Feather has many units with the ability to perform damage checks during the player’s turn. Cards such as Black Shiver, Gavrail (V Series) and Black Aculeus, Japhkiel perform damage checks on the player’s turn.

Holy Seraph, Suriel is a G-Guardian, and this G-Guardian complements Black Spark, Munkar. Holy Seraph, Suriel increases your odds for this critical trigger to be a damage trigger. This G-Guardian looks at the top card of the deck. You have the option to keep it on top or place it at the bottom of the deck. Then, you you recover one point of damage and perform a damage check.

Therefore, the best strategy with Holy Seraph, Suriel is keeping Black Spark, Munkar on top of the deck. Your damage check will be this critical trigger. You will gain 10,000 power and draw a card when your damage check reveals Black Spark, Munkar.

Support:

Black Spark, Munkar has stellar support from Angel Feather. The clan’s complex strategy with the damage zone manipulates this card’s placement on the field and deck. Angel Feather consistently activates both effects of this card. 

In addition, the first ability limits Black Spark, Munkar to decks with Gavrail. This critical triggers gets its full potential in this archetype. She is able to consistently activate both of her abilities.

Many units from Angel Feather have the ability to return Black Spark, Munkar from the damage zone to the hand. This tactic is a wise strategy when you need this card for its strong shield for defense or you may call this critical trigger to the field for her first ability. Black Shiver, Gavrail (V Series) and Black Aculeus, Japhkiel may return this card from the damage to the hand.

Furthermore, Zeroth Dragon of Zenith Peak, Ultima and Black Spark, Munkar have a strong connection during the player’s turn. Zeroth Dragon of Zenith Peak, Ultima places Black Spark, Munkar on top of the deck. You are guaranteed this critical driver during a drive check. The power from this critical trigger is added to all of your units on the field due to the ability of  Zeroth Dragon of Zenith Peak, Ultima

Overall, Black Spark, Munkar is one of the best critical triggers in the premium format of Cardfight!! Vanguard. She perfectly complements Angel Feather. The clan can use her abilities during both players’ turns. The units in the deck consistently benefit from this card. Therefore, I recommend playing Black Spark, Munkar in your deck.
