You can only use each effect of “Mystical Elf – White Lightning” once per turn.
Konami retrained Mystical Elf into Mystical Elf – White Lightning. This version of Mystical Elf is an effect monster. She maintains her ATK of 800 and DEF of 2,000. This effect monster is support for normal monsters. Mystical Elf – White Lightning may negate an opponent’s effect. This card also special summons a normal monster during the opponent’s battle phase.

First Effect:
Mystical Elf – White Lightning special summons herself from the hand to the field when the opponent activates his or her monster’s effect and you control a level five or greater normal monster on the field. Mystical Elf – White Lightning also negates the effect of the opponent’s monster. She counters the opponent’s strategy and plays herself from the hand.
Therefore, Mystical Elf – White Lightning stops the opponent’s strategy with his or her monster. She can potentially prevent the destruction of one of more of your cards. She may also prevent the opponent from gaining resources.
Furthermore, this effect is support for normal monsters. You just need a level five or greater normal monster on the field. Many classic archetypes use this type of monster.
In addition Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician are the main cards for this effect. Mystical Elf – White Lightning provides protection for these key monsters of their decks. Both monsters meet the requirements for this effect monster’s first effect.
Second Effect:
Mystical Elf – White Lightning may special summon one normal monster from the graveyard during the opponent’s battle phase. In addition, the opponent must attack this monster. You can gain a free card from this effect. You have a powerful monster on the field to protect Mystical Elf – White Lightning to avoid a battle with her.
Furthermore, this effect has strong synergy with Blue-Eyes White Dragon. It is the perfect monster for this effect. Blue-Eyes White Dragon has 3,000 ATK. This effect forces the opponent to attack this monster. Blue-Eyes White Dragon may destroy all of the opponent’s monsters by battle.
In addition, many cards have the option to send Blue-Eyes White Dragon to the graveyard for Mystical Elf – White Lightning. Majesty With Eyes of Blue and Mausoleum of White may send Blue-Eyes White Dragon to the graveyard. The game is set for this effect monster’s second ability. Then, Mystical Elf – White Lightning may special summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon from the graveyard to the field during the opponent’s next battle phase.

For instance, Mystical Elf – White Lightning has synergy with Dark Magical Circle. This effect monster may special summon Dark Magician from the graveyard. This tactic triggers the activation of Dark Magical Circle, and Dark Magical Circle banishes one of the opponent’s cards.

Overall, Mystical Elf – White Lightning is a good card. She is a better fit with Blue-Eyes White Dragon than the Dark Magician. Mystical Elf – White Lightning has more consistency with Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Her ability to negate an effect of the opponent’s monster is a useful effect. She can special summon a Blue-Eyes White Dragon during the opponent’s battle phase and force the opponent to attack it. Therefore, I recommend playing Mystical Elf – White Lightning in your deck.
