First Ability:

White Paladin has the ability of ward. Ward is a defensive ability. The opponent must attack this follower before he or she can attack your leader or any other follower without this ability.

Therefore, White Paladin provides protection for your leader. She has a defense of four. The opponent may need to attack her more than once in a turn. This situation needs on the attack of the opponent’s followers.

Furthermore, White Paladin is a useful defensive option in the early game. She costs three play points to play on the field. You can avoid some early damage in the game.

Second Ability:

White Paladin may engage herself and pay two play points to summon two Shield Guardians tokes. This defensive follower strengthens your defense with these tokens. You will have three followers on the field with ward.

Therefore, Shield Guardian provides defense against the opponent’s followers. This token has ward like White Paladin. They have a low defense of one, but they protect your leader from opposing followers.

Therefore, the opponent must attack these tokens before they can attack your leader. You will lose these tokens after a single attack, but your leader avoids damage. Only a few cards can bypass these defenders.

Support:

White Paladin is a generic card for Swordcraft. You can play her in many decks. She best fits in decks for commanders, officers, and generic strategies.

Many cards can search the deck and add White Paladin to your hand. Aether of the Warrior Wing and Gemstaff Commander may add this follower to your hand. You have consistent access to White Paladin. You can search for this follower when you need defense on the field.

Furthermore, White Paladin has synergy with Amelia, Silver Paladin. These followers complement each other’s abilities. Amelia, Silver Paladin can play White Paladin for free. You do not need to spend any play points on her. Amelia, Silver Paladin plays a follower with the cost of three play points or less from the hand without a cost. This strategy saves play points for the second ability of White Paladin to summon two shield guardian tokens onto the field.

In addition, Royal Banner increases the defense of White Paladin. Royal Banner adds one attack and one defense to a Swordcraft follower. Therefore, White Paladin has a total of four attack and five defense with this amulet on the field.
