[Spell Card]
Once per turn: You can send 1 “Lightsworn” monster from your hand to the Graveyard, then target 1 other “Lightsworn” monster in your Graveyard; add it to your hand. Each time a card(s) is sent from your Deck to the Graveyard, place 1 Shine Counter on this card. If a “Lightsworn” card(s) you control would be destroyed by a card effect, you can remove 2 Shine Counters from your side of the field for each of those “Lightsworn” card(s) instead.
Lightsworn Sanctuary is a continuous spell card for Lightsworn. This card generates Shine Counters on the field. It has three useful effects. This continuous spell protects your cards with Lightsworn in their names from the opponent’s effects. It can become an important card on the field.

First Effect:
Lightsworn Sanctuary allows you to discard a monster with Lightsworn in its name, and you may add a monster with Lightsworn in its name from the graveyard. The graveyard is a key area for Lightsworns. This spell card uses it as a second hand to regain a monster in the graveyard.
Furthermore, Lightsworn Sanctuary allows you to get an important card for your strategy. You may discard a monster such as Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress and add Lightsworn Dragonling from the graveyard to the hand. You have one of the best effect monsters from the archetype in your hand.
Therefore, Lightsworn Sanctuary gives access to a card in the graveyard. You may replay an important card. You can gain a card to counter the opponent and establish a strong field.
Second Effect:
Lightsworn Sanctuary gains a Shine Counter when a card or multiple cards from the deck are sent to the graveyard. This purpose of this effect sets up the third effect. It provides Shine Counters for other cards.
Furthermore, Lightsworns consistently activate this effect. All monsters in the archetype send the top cards from the deck to the graveyard. You will place at least one Shien Counter on Lightsworn Sanctuary during each turn.
For example, Michael, the Arch-Lightsworn sends the top three cards from the deck to the graveyard. Lightsworn Sanctuary gains three Shine Counters. You have enough Shine Counters to pay the cost for the third effect.
Third Effect:
Lightsworn Sanctuary lives up to its names as a sanctuary. This continuous spell card removes two Shine Counters from your side of the field and stops a card effect from destroying one of your cards with Lightsworn in their names. This continuous spell card protects your cards with Lightsworn in their names. This protection includes monsters, spells, and traps.
Therefore, you should play Lightsworn Sanctuary when you draw this card. Its protection of your monsters with Lightsworn in their names is a critical advantage. This spell card ensures your monsters will remain on the field.
In addition, Lightsworn Sanctuary may remove Shine Counters from any of your cards on this field. This condition includes Realm of Light. This field spell also generates Shine Counters. You have two sources for Shine Counters from Lightsworn Sanctuary and Realm of Light
Support:
Lightsworn Sanctuary is a perfect fight in Lightsworn. This continuous spell card has synergy with many cards in the archetype. You can consistently add Shien Counters to this card because many monsters in the archetype sends cards from the deck to the graveyard. All cards with Lightsworn in their names gain protection from this card’s third effect.
