[Trap]
You can only activate this card when your opponent’s hand is 6 or more cards and your hand is 2 or less. Toss a coin and call heads or tails. If you call it right, draw until your hand has 5 cards. If you call it wrong, skip your next turn.
Konami loves developing cards with effects based on luck. Gamble perfectly fits that style of play. You toss a coin in hopes of the good effect. However, the card also has a very bad effect if you lose the gamble. That is reason for the card’s name of Gamble. You are gambling to win or lose the duel.
Effect:
Gamble requires you to flip a coin, and you call heads or tails. If you call the correct side, then you draw until you have five cards in your hand. However, you will lose a turn if you call it wrong. It has a huge reward. Gamble allows you to draw many cards, and you have access to your deck’s best cards. You have a chance to get a lot of cards to start a comeback.
Risky Gamble!
However, you have a 50 percent chance of drawing cards or losing a turn. This is one bet that you do not want to lose. It has a heavy penalty of losing a turn. No player can afford to lose a turn. Your opponent gains a major advantage. He or she has a good chance of winning the game with two consecutive turns.
Furthermore, you may not be able to activate Gamble. It requires your opponent to have six or more cards in his or her hand, and you must have two or less cards in your hand. The scenario will not always occur in the duel or when you set Gamble on the field. Your opponent will not always have a large hand. You certainly do not want a small hand during a duel.
Card Rating:
Overall, Gamble is a very honest card. It is truly a gamble to play this card. You will either draw cards or lose a turn by a flip of a coin. I do not recommend playing this card in any deck. There are better cards to counter your opponent with a large hand.
