When this card is activated: You can Set up to 3 “Call of the Haunted” from your Deck and\/or GY, and if you do, until the end of your opponent’s turn, you cannot Special Summon, except Zombie monsters, or monsters from the GY. Once per turn, if you activate “Call of the Haunted”: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; send it to the GY. You can only activate 1 “Call of the Forgotten” per turn.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Call of the Forgotten is a field spell card for decks with zombie monsters. It synergizes the deck with its effects and support for Call of the Haunted. It has multiple effects. Its effects add consistency to the deck, and controls the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First Effect:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Call of the Forgotten sets up to three copies of Call of the Haunted from the deck and graveyard. This effect enables this deck’s strategy with zombies and Call of the Haunted. You gain instant access to the trap for this deck. It is an effective card to play on your first turn because it provides many resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, you may play multiple copies of Call of the Forgotten during a duel. This field spell card also sets Call of the Haunted from the graveyard when you activate it. The opponent may destroy this trap. This spell card is an effective method to regain access to Call of the Haunted from the graveyard. This field spell card brings it back to the field, and you may activate it to special summon your zombies from the graveyard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Call of the Forgotten also restricts you to only be able to special summon zombie monsters until the end of the opponent’s next turn. You can only special summon zombie monsters on the turn when you activate this card. This restriction is not a problem in a pure deck for zombies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, traps are the slowest type of cards in Yu-Gi-Oh!. This spell does a great job by setting Call of the Haunted on the field. You cannot activate traps on the same turn when you set them. Opponents will try to destroy Call of the Haunted before you have a chance to activate it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second Effect:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Call of the Forgotten targets and sends one of the opponent’s monsters to the graveyard if you activated one Call of the Haunted this turn. This effect controls the field. You should target one of the opponent’s monsters without protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, Call of the Forgotten has some control over the field. You can activate this effect multiple times per duel when you activate Call of the Haunted. Its first effect enables its second effect. It can effectively send opponent’s monsters without any protection to the graveyard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, this effect of Call of the Forgotten can only be activated once per turn. You can activate multiple copies of Call of the Haunted in a single turn. You need to perfectly time the activations of this trap to fully maximize the value of this effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Call of the Forgotten has its limitations. This card does not affect all monsters. Some monsters are unaffected by spell cards or effects. For example, Call of the Forgotten is unable to send Black Luster Soldier – Soldier of Chaos to the graveyard because this link monster cannot be targeted by the opponent’s effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Support:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Call of the Forgotten has useful support from zombies. Many cards can add this card from the deck to the hand. These cards add consistency for this field spell card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, Ectoplasmic Fortification, Pumpking the Great Ghost King and Stare of the Snake Hair may add Call of the Forgotten from the deck to the hand. Then, you may play this field spell card. You will gain the copies of Call of the Haunted. This simple strategy provides the key cards in this deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Overall, Call of the Forgotten is good support for Call of the Haunted. This field spell card sets up the engine for decks with Call of the Haunted. It helps this type of deck with zombies to consistently get access to the deck’s signature trap card. The second effect also helps players to send opponent’s monsters to the graveyard. Therefore, I recommend playing Call of the Forgotten in your deck with zombies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
